Founded in 1952 at Point Magu base, California, the second generation 4th test rating squadron (VX-4) is a forced to test the U.S. Navy fighter weapons (missile/aircraft gun/electronic battle equipment) and firearm control systems (radar aimings). The F-14 was familiar with the "Vandy 1" representing the Captain Captain of the Forces Call Sign "Bandy" with a white bunny on the tail wing.
