In 1987 was the year that 'DuckTales', the infinitely outlandish TV animated series was released, following the escapades of Huey, Dewey and Louie as well as their uncle Scrooge McDuck, the richest duck in the world, the family is often on the hunt for treasure across 4 season of fun and mayhem. The D-Stage diorama definitely follows this theme with a fortune of coins and treasures (not unlike Scrooge's own personal bank) and sees our fun-loving family on top seeking new adventures and loot to score!
In 1941 brought another slam-run for Disney with the release of their 4th classic: 'Dumbo'! The story of a young circus elephant born with a pair of extraordinary large ears, which at first is the subject of ridicule. Yet with perseverance Dumbo literally rises above his difficulties by learning to fly, and in flight we see Dumbo in the D-Stage diorama surrounded by fun balloons soaring in the sky above with Timothy Q the mouse in tow, finally finding stardom and respect!
Forward to 1970, and the 20th animation for the powerhouse studio was the fun animated adventure comedy: 'Aristocats'! Based around a group of aristocratic Parisian cats, the story finds the family turning to an alley cat to gain their lost fortunes! The D-Stage diorama shows our high-class felines, including Marie herself adorned with a parasol, sitting on top of a pillow and ball fit for the most elegant of cats.
