The strips plug into the mains powers, so you don't need to worry about having to rummage around under the bed to change or recharge batteries and they work on a motion sensor with a three feet range.
If you don't need to use the under the bed lights as a motion sensing night light, you can switch off the motion sensor and simply use the under the bed lights as warm mood lighting in the bedroom.
